I purchased a 2-in-1 automatic motor for baby cradle from Shreenathji Fashion, Surat on 17/04/2026 after seeing their Instagram reel. The seller was very active before the sale, repeatedly following up via WhatsApp and calls for confirmation and payment. I paid ₹4,400, and the product was delivered to Gandhinagar on 18/04/2026.
However, after installing the motor as per instructions, I found a serious safety issue. During operation, the hammock hanger gets stuck between the automatic hook and the adjacent manual hook. This causes sudden jerks, and my 6-month-old baby almost fell from the cradle. Due to this dangerous defect, I stopped using the product within 3–5 minutes.
I immediately informed the seller and shared video proof. Despite this:
The seller refused to accept return and kept delaying responses.
He kept referring to a warranty card excuse, which is not valid for a defective and unsafe product.
I also contacted the brand TinyTyke on 23/04/2026:
They acknowledged the issue and collected product details, serial number, photos, and video.
However, the representative clearly stated that return is not possible because the warranty card is filled, and only replacement can be offered.
They also did not take any step to coordinate with the retailer (Shreenathji Fashion) to resolve the issue.
This is not acceptable because:
The issue is a design flaw, not a minor defect.
Replacement makes no sense, as the same product is unsafe for infants.
The reason of “warranty card filled” is a weak and unreasonable excuse in a safety-related case.
It is also important to highlight that reputed e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon accept returns easily in such situations, prioritizing customer safety. Here, both the seller and brand are avoiding responsibility.
Additionally, time is being unnecessarily delayed. As days are passing, there is concern that after a certain period (like 7–10 days from order), they may completely stop responding and deny any support.
Final Experience:
Unsafe product for babies ❌
No return support ❌
Poor response after payment ❌
No coordination between seller and brand ❌
As a genuine customer, this has been a very disappointing and risky experience. I strongly advise other buyers to be cautious while purchasing such products from this seller.
This matter is also being prepared for escalation to the Consumer Security/Consumer Forum, as it involves infant safety and unfair trade practice.
